Alan reported that not much has been going on at the station. They did air information regarding the video contest and advertised it at the station but they did not get a submission.
Andrea reported that they are getting ready for Celebrate Bloomfield. It will take place May 30 through June 6. It will be a full week of activities and you should start seeing more information shortly.
Irene reported that they have been filming the Town budget meetings. They have several graduations coming up that they will be filming. The station is going to be busy. Everything is running smooth at this time.
Gil reported that the station has done a lot of rewiring work. They also applied for a PEG Petia grant. They will be getting 80% of the $240,000 they applied for. This will allow them to replace the control panel, equipment in both control rooms, new cameras in both studios, editing suite and some field equipment.
Gil reported that they have a new program called the Stepping Stone program which allowed them to recruit college graduates from communications programs throughout the state, particularly from the Hartford area. It allows the interns to create as well as produce videos for the various entertainment events and all the other wonderful things that are going on in Hartford.
Gil also reported that the station is close to implementing streaming and on-demand.
They also applied for a grant from the Hartford Foundation for Community Giving. Hoping too use it for new LED lighting.
The station did receive a grant from the Connecticut Health Foundation to develop a Heathy Food Cooking show.
He continues to do grant writing so that they can replace equipment. Gil also asked that if anyone hears of anything taking place in Hartford, to send him an e-mail so that he can send someone out to film it.
Dick advised that the station is getting ready for graduations. They are also currently working on getting on board with the Cloud system. The station is also trying to find space.
No one here to report.
Bill advised that on-line streaming is happening. The dial up should be coming soon.
Dave advised that the station is converting to digital. They are looking at the budget to see about getting additional equipment. The education programs are working well.

None to review.
There were seven videos that were submitted for the contest. The top three will get awards and there will be honorable mention for fourth and fifth place. First place was won by Simsbury, second and third place were from Conard High, fourth from Hall High and fifth place from Conard. The judges did a great job.
Hartford TV offered to put the videos together and send them to the stations so that they can air them.
Dick asked the group what they thought should be done for the contest winners program. Alan felt that because most of the winners were from West Hartford, the ceremony should take place in that town. Possibly Rockledge Country Club. It was suggested to run the meeting and then have the award ceremony. Another spot that was recommended was Concetta's in Bloomfield.
Alan suggested that if possible, the award ceremony should be filmed.
A motion was made by Bill Stephenson and second by Claudette Miller that the awards for the contest will be presented to the winners at the next HACTAC meeting in May. Motion passed.
No new business to discuss.
